Hi there!
It's the last post on this blog. I already posted 45 posts. That's crazy! Time flights so quick that sometimes I really can't understand how it's happening. I have to admit that it was a lot of fun and I really enjoy that task. Being obligated to write a post every single week was an interesting exercise that allowed me to practice my English on a daily basis.
For my last post I decided to write some words about the capital of Spain - Madrid. A lovely city that I visited 6 years ago. It was a trip at high school, connected with a little student exchange program. We went to visit them and after 2 months they arrived to Poland.
This experience was really enjoyable and I felt in love with this city.
Madrid is a huge metropolis with almost 3.2 millions of inhabitants. What is fascinating, is that Madrid is the European city with the highest number of trees and green Surface for inhabitant. The most popular park is Buen Retiro Park.
One of the well-known monument is the The Royal Palace. The outside of the building is really elegant and beautiful as well as the interior part. There are a lot to visit while you are at this city. Obviously I can't forget to mention The Statue of the Bear and the Strawberry Tree. Is a sculpture that represents the coat of arms of Madrid.
There is a lot to say about Madrid, because this city if overflowing with monuments and other tourist attractions. The atmosphere that surround this city is incredible. I felt fantastic during my stay there, and I am sure that I will revisit this city in the near future.

Coffee Festival Marathon in Poznań - awesome way to find out about new coffee shops
Hi there!
Today I would like to write a few words about the event that happens 3 to 4 time a year. It's a coffee marathon in Poznań and also in other cities like Gdańsk or Wrocław.
What is it? It's a week of coffee. Some coffee shops prepared a special coffee and dessert for the really reasonable price: 12 zł.
In December there was an x-mas edition marathon and I had opportunity to visit 3 different coffee houses. Coffee and cake were really delicious. There were all connected with festive season, so a lot of them had a cinnamon or a taste of gingerbread.
I think this kind of event is fabulous, because not only you can drink some nice coffee, but also you can discover new places. Usually smaller coffee shops take part in this marathon so it's a great opportunity for them to get known. You can take your friends and spend an awesome afternoon with a yummy dessert.
I wish there were more festivals like that one. I would really appreciate a festival of pizza. In fact there was also a pasta festival, but I didn't attend it, because I'm not a huge fun of pasta.
I am really happy that I had an opportunity to take part in this festival, and I am sure that I will attempt another one. I would highly recommend taking part in this kind of occasion.

Work-life balance - is it a myth?
Hi there!
Few weeks ago I had a presentation about an interesting topic, which is work-life balance.
I decided to present some methods that are really useful to achieve the perfect balance in your life.
While I was searching for some information, different article about this topic, I found a lot of them entitle: work-life balance is a myth. Is it?
I think that it's not a myth and it can work in our life. Obviously I don't think it's possible to have a perfect life, without any problems. Life where everything works how it should. No, it's not possible. But what is possible and what we can try to achieve is to balance our life. We can try to life a happy life. Life that brings us happiness and smile on our face on daily basis.
Work-life balance it's really important specially now in era of Internet. We don't even realize that we are working all the time. We are scrolling through different websites, and we are constantly reading different articles.
Going back to the title, is it a myth? As I already said I don't think so. There are 3 main things that we need to remember. First of all, all of us are different. What works for me, doesn't have to work for you. That why it's really important to find YOUR balance, balance that works just for YOU, not for anyone else. Second of all, we need to remember that life is messy and can get crazy. It's not possible have a model life 24/7. You are going to have those days when everything goes wrong. And THAT OK. The last thing is that is really important to just life and sometimes go with the flow. Don't feel guilty if you haven't found your perfect balance yet. Maybe it's just not for you. Try to enjoy your life, do all the things that you need to, but also just be happy. Sometimes we get lost while we are looking for our perfect "balance".
To sum up, I don't think that a work-life balance it's a myth. I agree that is not for everyone. And that totally fine.

Planeta Singli 1 - light love story just perfect to watch during winter nights
Hi there!
It's time for another movie review, Now let's chat about a polish love story entitled: Planeta Singli.
The main character is played by Maciej Stuhr and Agnieszka Więdłocha - two actors that I really enjoy. He is one of the top celebrities in the country. Is a host on a TV, and he loves to make jokes all the time about pretty much everything. He is easy-going and has a great success amount woman. Typical playboy. Now he is looking for a new topic to discuss in this talk-show.
On the other side there she is. She is a teacher at a musical school. A really shy and insecure person. On an Internet dating app is searching for Mr.Perfect. She wants someone that will teach her how to life, how to be excited and believe in herself. On the other hand, she will teach him what a real life looks like.
Dating app - perfect topic for his television program. How the story will end? Is she going to find her perfect match?
I think that it's one of the best polish romantic comedy. Obviously it's really light and doesn't bring a lot in your life, but sometimes it's important to watch this kind of movies. Cast is wonderful and they play excellent.
I would highly recommend it. Also, there is second part which I also watched. It's all right. First is better.

Barcelona - The city of Marvels
Hi there!
Barcelona - one of the most popular tourists' destination in Spain. It's the capital city of Catalonia, a region located in the Mediterranean coast.
The city is famous thanks to the 19th century modernist architecture. The best known of those building was design by Antonio Gaudi - Sagrada Familia. It's an unfinished church. I saw it few years ago and it's one of the most precious building that I have ever seen.
Beside that Park Guell is another unusual place. It's a public park system composted of gardens and architectonics elements. My favourite part is the multicoloured mosaic salamander which is located at the main entrance.
Casa Mila is another monument designed by Gaudi. The facade it's really innovative. In 1984, it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Barcelona is not only an architecture. This city is full on different culture. You can meet so many people that have an amazing personality. Everyone seems happy there.
It's a city that I would like to visit over and over again. It has this unique vibe that I really enjoy.
Everyone should go to Barcelona and just relax. Look through the city and appreciate the view and the surrounding.

Luigi Pirandella "Six Characters in search of an Author" book review
Hi there!
Luigi Pirandello - one of the best Italian writer. I decided to write my master's thesis about this author. One of the book that I am going to analyse is already mention in the tittle "Six Characters in search of an Author". I would like to present this book and recommend it.
It's a play written and first performer in 1921. It premiered in the Theatre Valle in Rome and it wasn't the best premier. A reaction was rather negative and audience didn't enjoy it. In a short time the reactions changed and it was named one of the best play in the history of theatre.
This play start with the preparation of an acting company to rehearse other play. When the play was about to begin, it's interrupted by a group of six people, that considered themselves as actors. One of them, the Father is saying that there are unfinished characters in search of an author to finish their story. The Director is shocked and starts to listen their story. They recount their life and their really difficult relation with themselves. After listening to their tangle story, the Director decided to perform it. Characters are really serious and particular about the scene, so they want everything to be as realistic as possible. The scene begins between the Madame Pace and Stepdaughter. The line between reality and acting is blurred. We don't know any more what is the truth and what is just a play.
The scene ends in a dramatic way, because there are two suicides. However, I wouldn't say who and why, because you have to read the book to find out.
The message that Pirandello wanted to present through this play is that everything is a fiction. We don't know any more what is real, what is the truth. Also, we change all the time. We wear different masks. There are not permanent line, everything fleets. We don't know who we are any more. Life is a journey that can be change in every moment.
I think that this play is fantastic and everyone should read it.

Foreign cosmetics brand easy accessible in polish Sephora
Hi there!
Today I decided to write about the situation that is happening in cosmetic store in Poland, in particular in Sephora. Recently, there are a lot of new cosmetics brands that appeared there, like Anastasia Beverly Hills, Too Faced, Urban Decay and many more. In the past it was really difficult to buy products from those brand, because there were only available online. Now there are easy accessible and everyone can buy them, obviously if they can afford them.
I think that it's really cool that brand from United States or England want to sale their products in Poland. It means that our country is in a constant development. On the other side, for me, those brand now are not that exciting how it was in the past. Few year ago when I bought something in a foreign country that wasn't available in Poland, it was really exciting, because pretty much no one had this product. Now it changed and sometimes it gets a bit difficult to have something original, that no one has. It may seem weird, but that's the truth. We always want something that we can't have in easy access. When we have it or it's really easy to have it, it doesn't get exciting any more.
To sum up, I'am really happy that there are a lot of different brands in Sephora. We can go and just buy them. Also, we can see products in a store so it's more convenient to choose our shade or to swatch a product. We don't have to spend hours searching online to find products and also we don't have to pay for the shipping which sometimes can be really expensive.
However, with these phenomena the value of this brand has changed. Now they are not that "cool" as they were in the past. Maybe I'm the only one that think that way.
